Thanks for checking out SecureShare! Before you dive in, we just need to go over a few important things. These Terms of Service ("Terms") lay out how our service works and what's cool (and not cool) when using it. By using SecureShare, you agree to these Terms — so give it a quick read.
a. Age Check. You need to be 16 or older to use SecureShare. If you're under that, unfortunately, this isn't the right place for you.
b. Your Account. Some features need an account (like uploading files). You're in charge of your account info, including keeping your password safe.
c. Your Keys, Your Data.SecureShare does not store raw account passphrases, but it does store encrypted account keys, share verification hashes, and metadata needed to run the service. If you lose your passphrase, recovery options are limited.
Please save your passphrase somewhere safe. SecureShare is built so the raw passphrase is not retained server-side, which means support cannot simply reveal it back to you.
SecureShare is built for privacy and security — please don't misuse it. You agree not to:
We take privacy seriously. Check out our Privacy Policy to see how we handle your data. The short version: files are encrypted before upload, but the service still stores encrypted payloads, encrypted key material, sessions, analytics, and operational metadata.
That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. By using SecureShare, you acknowledge the risks of putting any data online.
a. Our Stuff. The SecureShare name, branding, and any non-open-source content remain protected. Do not present your work as SecureShare without permission.
b. Open Source Bits. Parts of this project are published as open source. Your use of that code is governed by the applicable repository licenses, notices, and attribution requirements.
c. Your Stuff. You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give SecureShare permission to store, process, transmit, and delete that content as needed to provide the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service. You can delete your account anytime, too.
Some parts of these Terms (like how we handle your content or limit liability) still apply after you leave.
We do our best to keep things smooth, but if something goes wrong, we can't be held responsible for:
SecureShare is provided "as is." That means we don't offer guarantees or warranties — implied or otherwise — around things like performance, availability, or fit for your particular use case.
Sometimes we'll update these Terms. If it's a major change, we'll give you a heads-up via the site or email. Keep using SecureShare after that? It means you're okay with the new version.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes or legal issues arising out of these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India.
